Job Discription

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand panel specifications and requirements. Assemble electrical control panels using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and following wiring diagrams and layout guidelines. Wire electrical components, including switches, relays, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks, according to the panel design and industry standards. Install and connect wires to terminal points, ensuring proper insulation, labeling, and organization for ease of troubleshooting and maintenance. Perform quality checks to verify that all connections, wiring, and components are properly installed and secure. Conduct functional tests and troubleshoot panels to identify and rectify any electrical or wiring issues. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other team members to ensure panels are built to meet project requirements and customer specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and guidelines at all times. Keep accurate records of panel builds, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered during the assembly process. Stay updated on industry standards, electrical codes, and technological advancements in panel building to enhance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities
    • Previous experience as a Panel Builder or in a similar role is strongly preferred.
    • Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring practices.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
    • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively.
    • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
    • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical certifications or training in electrical systems is a plus.
